Kirby the Loggerhead Sea Turtle Cam
Kirby Was Released on May 14, 2019!
Kirby is an adult, male loggerhead who was found floating inshore near Indian Rocks Beach on January 29, 2019. Upon intake, he was lethargic and heavily covered in algae and barnacles. After months of rehabilitation, Kirby was cleared for release by our veterinarian and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The baby sea turtles were released off the east coast of Florida on Nov. 9, 2018
Clearwater Marine Aquarium rehabilitated several baby loggerhead sea turtles. A number of these hatchlings, nicknamed “The Pool Boys,” were rescued after being discovered inside a swimming pool filter by a local resident near Indian Shores, Florida. Read more about their rescue story.
All marine turtle footage taken in Florida was obtained with the approval of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) under conditions not harmful to marine turtles. Footage was acquired while conducting authorized conservation activities pursuant to FWC MTP-18-172.

Ruffles the Rescued Seahorse Webcam
Ruffles was released on October 25, 2018.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) rescued a female lined seahorse, named Ruffles, after she was found washed up on Belleair Beach by a beachgoer. CMA suspects the rough waves following Hurricane Michael impacted the small seahorse.
